New Day is a halfway house which offers tertiary treatment for recovering addicts who are looking for affordable structured living where they can focus on their recovery in a safe environment. This is a peaceful place where recovering addicts can rebuild their lives with guidance and support.
We focus on facilitating clients to take personal responsibility for their recoveries and their lives and make use of available resources to enhance their quality of life.
What is a Halfway House?
A halfway house is a safe place for early recovery substance users to reintegrate back into society. A halfway house provides a therapeutic environment where a recovery community can flourish.
A halfway house provides guidelines and expectations that assist in the recovery process. A halfway house is not a medical facility and does not cater for detoxing clients. A halfway house is for substance abusers who have cleaned up, and want to be able to gain long term sobriety.
A halfway house offers guided and structured living, with the freedom to get your life back on track. You can work, attend meetings, go to gym, visit your family, etc. There are some rules and guidelines that need to be met, such as curfews, providing a clean urine sample or breathalyser, attending a certain number of meetings, step-work, etc.
